Company History
1980
Diego Ley initiated operations with 100 acres of Italian squash
& bell peppers.
1984
Tomatoes, hot peppers & cucumbers were added.
1985
Formed a partnership with Safeway, lasting 5 years.
1989
Introduced drip irrigation.
1990
Added cultivation of LSL vine ripe tomatoes and LSL bell peppers,
bringing total acreage to 1,400.
1991
Formed a partnership with SunWorld, lasting 4 years.
Built the largest packing facility in Northwestern México.
1994
Drip irrigation was implemented on 100% of the operation.
Developed a partnership with Gargiulo, lasting 5 years.
1995
Initiated Greenhouse trials on 2 acres.
1997
Built the most advanced high-tech packing facility in México.
Assembled state-of-the-art Greenhouses in Altata (10 acres) growing beefsteak and cluster tomatoes, 100% hydroponically
grown.
1998
Constructed 32 acres of Greenhouses in Culiacán.
1999
Expanded Greenhouse operation to 52 acres, 100% hydroponic,
by adding 10 acres at Altata and 2000 Added 25 acres of Hothouses, introduced European cucumbers.
2001 Added
Grape, Yellow tomatoes and 26 more acres of hothouses.
2002
Expanded Hothouse operation to 128 acres, 100% hydroponic.
2003 Earned
"Exporter of the Year" Award & expanded operation to Baja & Sonora
introducing colored peppers.
