Tamale Pie
Bring 3 cups of water to a boil with the salt. Slowly add cornmeal, stirring constantly. Cook on low heat, stirring often for 10 minutes or until mush is thick. Remove from heat and set aside. Sauté the onion, green pepper and chili pepper in shortening until onion is translucent. Add beef, chorizo and chili powder and cook until brown. Add tomatoes, corn and zucchini and cook 10 minutes more. Stir in the olives. Spread the meat mixture in a large shallow greased baking dish and top with corn meal. Bake in a preheated 375 degree oven for 10 minutes. Sprinkle cheese on top and bake 10 minutes longer. Serves 6 to 8.
